Here then is the first of the group photos. In the back row are Mantai and Motsilisi. In the middle are Mamokhalinyana, Mampepua and Thembi. Right in front one can see Mamello and Mpho. As we go along I will begin introducing more students and will also begin letting them have more of a voice in this blog. Which, after all is theirs, really. They are the ones who will be seeking to see exactly where they fit into the world and also seeking to make a mark in it. A great place to be, this, at the beggining of a long and extraordinary journey!
I love this post. The students look so happy. I so look forward to meeting them all over the next year! I can not wait to introduce my students as well. We are still on holiday break until the last week of August. "It is amazing how air travel shrinks the world and internet communication has become instantaneous making this all possible.
ReplyDeleteThis art project will become a looking glass that allows us to examine our own values and beliefs--as well as those of others. As the students create art that encourages such personal examination, they are weaving the fabric of their own character." -R.DeLong
This truly will be a wonderful journey with so many new friendship to be formed.
